Hey friends,
I'm going to prepare myself for this wedding that's happening Saturday in - clothes, speech, relatives over and the works. You know how it is! So I will be going offline this whole weekend for celebration and festivity. The feelings are quite unspeakable, kind of like this little child here! >>
On a separate note, thanks for returning feedback in regards to having a forum online for UMAT students - active and alive version. I'll see to it that it'll come to works. Keep the comments/suggestions coming for what you'd like to see happening there in that post! Until after Monday, have a great weekend!
Uhh ... are you still here? It's been quite a while now.
yer i was wondering the same i haven't got much emails from here lately n i miss them. Buddy you are doing a great favor to the community please come back. were looking forward to hearing from you. we miss you
he'll be back im sure of it . the sites not closed!
I HAVE A QUESTION FOR YOU (or others) TO ANSWER ! :]
How do they calculate the percentiles ??
Yeah, I still hope XLOL's around. I hope it's not exams or something that holding him up :|
To answer your question, percentiles are calculated by comparing your scaled overall score to other candidates' scaled overall scores. For example, in 2009, if your overall score (sum of raw scores/3) was 70, then you were in the 100th percentile, which means your score was better than >99.5% of the candidates. The last ~0.5% would have scores equal or greater than 70. I hope that answers your question.
i see.. but what does it mean when some universities say that they require a UMAT score of like 173 ? How does that go? Is that the total score?
and... one more question ! :]
This year's UMAT is made longer?
I think the forum idea is great, so i (or others) don't need to ask questions like that =|
They're referring to the aggregate score: sum of the 3 section scores.
Yes, it's made longer. By 15 minutes to be exact. Five minutes more for Section 2 and 10 minutes more for section 3 - now being: 65, 50, and 50 minutes respectively for the 3 sections.
ahh i see .. THANKS ! (:
so are there more questions then since the time is longer?
Yes, 4 more questions for section 2, and 8 more questions for section 3, making 40 and 38 questions respectively for the two sections.
Thumps up for hardwork guys……..really an interesting information…….visiting soon again..
